We called A-1 with an immediate unknown problem with our septic system. They were able to rearrange the schedule of one of their technicians and he came out that day. He was able to diagnose the problem, find our hidden septic tank and pump it out that day. He also pointed out a situation with the tank that would have quickly become a problem had we not decided to fix it. They were prompt, courteous and professional. I will use them again.

We had a malfunctioning sump pump and had three different plumbing companies come out to take a look. We then found out that most companies could not work with our type of deep ground sump pump (lack of expertise mainly), and finally got a recommendation to contact A-1 Septic Tank Service. And this is the best decision we have made. They were prompt - came the next day after our call to diagnose the situation and knew how to solve the problem right away. Gave us a reasonable price quote and came the day after we accepted their proposal to replace the pump. James and his crew were very knowledgeable and professional - they clearly knew what they were doing. The work was finished promptly and they did testing to make sure the new pump is working properly, etc. Overall we are very pleased with their work and highly recommend them to anyone who needs sump pump services. We plan to hire them again for annual check up on the pumps. They are the best!

Our 30-year-old septic tank needed replacement (fiberglass model with busted baffle). The tank site was in a difficult spot - little room to fit the smallest excavator. I received three bids; one was too expensive and the other (Acorn) was unprofessional (to say the least). James, the Construction Manager at A1, was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and honest throughout the process. The job was done quicker than expected and within the original bid price. More importantly, they worked seamlessly with the county (permit) and have a good relationship with the local inspector. I am very satisfied with their work.

I have had the pleasure of working with A1 over several years for one of our commercial retail sites in Hayward. Each time I have called, I have received attention to our pumping needs (often with very short or same day service calls), all successful and good workmanship. Great group. They were very flexible trying to fit my inspection in to keep a related pool project on schedule. Came on time, as promised, and both very courteous and great communicators. on when they would have deliverables. Everything was completed on time, and well organized for the county review (which itself is a first for me; town often finds issues). I will be using them with confidence for my septic needs going forward.

It was an absolute pleasure working with these guys. Finding my septic tank was less than forthcoming, but Johnathan was able to locate it rather quickly. I decided to go ahead with their recommendation and install risers for my clean out given the depth of my system. The entire job was done within an afternoon. They were extremely knowledgeable and professional,. Even the folks in the office were very competent and supportive. Double thumbs-up! and quite reasonable on their pricing. Yikes, I had a sticky situation with our sewage extractor pump and asked my plumber who he'd recommend for tank services. He suggested A-1. I called immediately, spoke to Julian, and he promised to help me out. The truck showed up fast, took care of the job quickly and cleaned up afterwards. Their service guy, Voung, was exceptionally knowledgeable, quick, competent and polite.
The results of A-1 Tank Services was critical to avoid an embarrassing disaster with our neighbors.
I've put A-1's office number on my speed-dial list if this problem ever arises again. I wouldn't consider any other firm and highly recommend them. Even the folks in the office were very competent and supportive. Double thumbs-up!

I have used A-1 several times to pump the septic tank. Very reliable and prompt. I would highly recommend for the services I have used which so far have been pumping a septic tank and remedial work on one tank to extend tank input by about 18 inches. Nothing too complicated but the interface has always been courteous and efficient.

A house I recently purchased had problems with the septic tank; Steve quickly came out and discussed repair options with me. In the end, I've been very happy with the service and the repairs. Steve was always easy to get hold of, kept me updated on progress and options, and worked hard to keep the price reasonable despite a large amount of labor involved.
I would definitely recommend A1 Septic!
